Hello, My name is Jan Welsh and I am the owner of Clinton House... I am pleased to welcome you to our website which displays the merits of my care home which opened in 1992. Clinton House was named after my ‘Granny Clinton’ and was purpose built to provide 24 Hours nursing care. Please explore our site and feel free to contact us for more information.

Delivering Dignified, Quality Care...

Clinton House is a small home where all of our staff play a significant role in our residents lives. Therefore, it is imperative to employ a good team, who work well together, are friendly, helpful and importantly have the appropriate skills and knowledge to deliver a high standard of care. We achieve this through our rigorous recruitment processes, regular training and supervision sessions.

Our Activities...

Clinton House offers an exciting activities programme that includes in-house group and one to one activities along with weekly social clubs and outings on our ‘Friendly Folk’ bus. Our excellent activities programme was runner up in the 2011 Scottish Care Awards for innovation and development.

"Making one person smile can change the world – maybe not the whole world, but their world." Moira McMahon, Home Manager

Here at Clinton House our Residents are encouraged to live a fulfilling and happy life, where they are encouraged to try the new, explore the unknown, find comfort in the familiar and laugh lots! It is official that laughter is definitley the best medicine in our house!

Over the last six years Clinton House has invested and developed a comprehensive activities programme led by our own in-house Activities Co-Ordinator, Olivia to enhance the quality of daily life for every Resident. With our activities co-ordiniator at the helm our activities programme now follows a 'whole home approach' from Wullie our maintenance man, Janice our Housekeeper to Alan our Chef, who all take part in meaningful activities throughout each day. The inclusion of meaningful activity and exercise into daily life has been our main focus as it maintains Residents' physical and physiological health and well-being.  We also have excellent relationships within our local social and community groups which makes for a jam packed social diary and lots of singing when we are 'Oot and Aboot' on our 'Friendly Folk' bus!
